Oh, wait. I gave myself a break…

From blogging, from updating the website, Instagram, from most things. I know consistency is the keyword when it comes to keeping it going on the internet – whether it is blogging, social media, commenting on others work – anything really. But sometimes life just gets in the way of things. Sometimes there are so many things happening in the real world, that the virtual world just gets put on the back burner. I just finished my final projects for school (it went well), plus we just came back from a well deserved vacation, thus work was overly hectic before we left, so normal routine has been out the window.

But enough excuses. The whole point here is consistency and keeping up with the work even if there is a bump in the road. Paul Jarvis suggests writing several blog posts at the time, in order to get ahead with your blogging. Make a list of possible topics, and when you sit down to write, do a few when you are in your writing zone anyway. He even made an excellent spreadsheet to use as a starting point, which you can find here.

It makes perfect sense. If I get into the flow of writing, I can keep going until I get interrupted or fall off my chair (that hasn’t happened yet, by the way). And if you have a little treasure chest of posts, you can easily spend a few minutes posting, and be sorted.

So, here we go! I am in the zone.
